While Lucy and Calandra get sicker in the Ladybird camp Caro gets nastier. The girl Lucy once thought of as a friend has become cruel. At the same time Soli and her guard Jonn travel through the woods toward the Ladybirds. The Crows have declared war and Soli wants to get to the Ladybirds before anything can happen to Lucy.
