Theatre has been around for a very long time - long before film television and radio. Film was invented in the nineteenth century television and radio were introduced in the twentieth century. But theatre was around in the days of Ancient Egypt around 2500 BCE. The first known theatrical performances were of religious plays about the gods Osiris and Isis.
