Scottish born photojournalist Harry Benson was the mostapublished photographer in Life magazine before it closed,aand is currently under contract to Vanity Fair and ArchitecturalaDigest. When Queen Elizabeth's 2009 New Year's HonorsaList was announced recently, Benson was named aaCommander of the British Empire (CBE). Benson has had 40aone-man exhibitions of his work in the U.S. and Europe andais the author of 13 books including R.F.K.- A Photographer'saJournal (powerHouse Books, 2008), and Harry Benson'saAmerica (Harry N. Abrams, 2005). Benson lives in New Yorkaand Florida with his wife, Gigi, who works with him on hisaexhibitions and books. Their two daughters live and work inaLos Angeles. John Loring is the former New York Bureau Chief ofaArchitectural Digest and a contributing writer for over 30ayears, and is the former Design Director for Tiffany & Co.aHe has written over 25 books on style and social history.aA graduate of Yale University, Loring completed four years ofagraduate studies at the cole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and hasaan honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts degree from Pratt Institute.
