Combining experimental essays and extraordinary images, Dream Tetras is a collaboration between writer Mike Ladd and artist Cathy Brooks. Mike Ladd's essays are generated by a process which came to him in a dream. They embrace randomness, cascading internet searches and accidental correspondences with waking life. Cathy Brooks's images are extrapolations of the essays using photography from her extensive archive, drawing, collage, painting and photoshop. By curious, serio-comic routes, Dream Tetras traverses a wide range of subjects: from love, working life, sex and crime, to art-criticism, loneliness, power, and impermanence.
