I danced to the music of Florence Price, Scott Joplin, George Bridgetower, William Grant Still, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Ignatius Sancho, and Francis Johnson, all composers of African descent.
I danced with such grace and poise; every movement celebrated my charm. What elegance, passion, balance, technique
plier, etendre, reliever, glisser, sauter, tourner.
