A police investigation follows-with startling revelations involving a series of suspects, each with a motive to kill. Murder touches and maims the lives of all who come near it. The reader is plunged into the world of drug dealing, a string of burglaries, the betrayal of lovers, and the result of the flight of an immigrant family to Canada to escape an abusive father. The novel ends with a tragic twist of fate.
