The eruption, as fa' as I saw it, was only of two kinds, one in patches, the other diffused. Both were smooth, until the cuticle began to dry and desquamate. Some few cases of eruption were as red and diffused as [ever saw in true scarlatina. In all, the eruption could be pressed back by the fingers, leaving a whitemark,1858 arnold: 'dengue, or Break-bone Fever.
