New portraits by one of the foremost painters of our time

German painter Georg Baselitz (born 1938) presents a new series of large-scale canvases featuring portraits of his wife, Elke, and a new sanguine ink series. In the title, Baselitz references the scene of Picasso's Les Demoiselles d'Avignon through a characteristically humorous chain of associations.
