The Brothers Grimm were early 19th century writers best known for their very beautiful Scandinavian, Icelandic and Germanic fairy tales. In 1807 there was a growing interest in German folk tales to this day. The Brothers Grimm were scholars who invited their friends to their home and asked them to tell stories they had heard and imagined. They quickly published their first collection of short stories and several more and more volumes followed.
