Description - Memories in Afterglow by Kelly Patricia

Patricia Kelly was born in Dublin on the 4th of July 1916. Her father was a builder and worked for the Corporation for sometime. She attended Stanhope Street National School until her Intermediate Certificate and then went to Miss Regan's Commercial College, and entered the Civil Service in 1934. She acquired a Social Science Degree in University College Dublin in the 50s. On retirement in the early 80s she went to Denmark to teach English and Art. On return home she founded the Booterstown Art Group and exhibited widely and in Merrion Square on weekends. She had a habit of writing articles and short stories whenever the humour was on her and even published them from time to time. The stories contained within this book are influenced by numerous events such as her time spent working as a nurse during the war, the 43 years she spent working in the Civil Service and the time she spent in Denmark.
