Description - Sandy Brown by John Makepeace
Sandy Brown is an English potter with an international reputation and following, especially in France, Holland and Germany. She was the invited artist at the "Printemps des Potiers" in the South of France in Spring 2003. Her pottery is wild and bright, just like the woman herself. She courts controversy not only in the pottery world, but also in the world of art generally. Although she lives and works in Appledore in North Devon, Sandy Brown exhibits and gives workshops and demonstrations all over the country. Many public figures, including Anita Roddick and Cherie Blair, own her work and this celebration of her life and work should be of interest to collectors as well as potters.
