Between 1978 and 1984, an acceleration has occurred in Adolfo Natalini's personal development narrated in the book "Figures of Stone": the intertwining of the early direct experiences on the building sites, the early plans for historical towns and an intense theoretical and conceptual tension produces a highly innovative architectural practices. A plurilingual architecture reminding of Gadda's register, who was capable of composing learned Italian and dialects into new configurations strong enough to shatter commonplaces and demolish comforting ambiences.
