This activity-based language pack of first words and phrases in French comes in a sturdy cardboard carton which stores all the contents of the pack. It consists of a "Word Book", an "Activity Book", an audio cassette, 4 "Game Cards" and 24 "Playing Cards". The "Word Book" teaches basic communication skills in French, introducing over 100 first words and 30 basic phrases. Topics covered include the alphabet, how to say your name, numbers 110, how to ask what things are called, colours, plurals, parts of the body, likes and dislikes, and how to express needs. It contains approximately 2000 words with over 250 photographs. The interactive Audio Cassette encourages children to speak, repeat answers and phrases, and answer audio puzzles set out in the "Word Book". Songs and raps help to make speaking French fun. Approximate playing time 40 minutes. The interactive "Activity Book" of word and picture puzzles encourages spelling skills and sentence practice, teaching children to write in French. It includes rules for 11 games, song lyrics, and a four-page pull-out guide for parents.
The pack also contains 24 playing cards to play a variety of games for two or more players to promote fluency and communication skills by practising useful sets of everyday words, along with three exciting board games offering practice with French spelling, speaking, and responding to simple commands, including Lotto and an Alphabet game.
