Countless tourists have visited this World Heritage Site over the past three hundred years to see at first hand the lives of the natives. Evacuated in 1930, the island has been uninhabited since, save for an army base and thousands of birds, some unique to the island. The book chronicles just one visit to the island in 1912 using a collection of unique photographs discovered in Bristol. This is the tale of a tour by the SS Hebrides from Glasgow to the island at the end of the world.
