Hosting a themed tea party is nothing new for April, owner of the charming SereniTea Tearoom in Serenity Cove. But the Holmes Society of Northern California isn't your average guest list. Between their oversized bustles, overpowering opinions, and a club president who treats April's tearoom like her personal stage set, tensions are already brewing before the first pot of Earl Grey is poured.

Then the ground shakes, the road crumbles, and one of the guests turns up dead. As if that weren't enough, the ghost of a legendary author begins making cryptic appearances.

With no way in or out of town and a house full of suspects, April must rely on her intuition, her loyal friends, and a pair of spectral allies to uncover the truth. Because when the road reopens, the killer might just slip away for good.
