In the Training School, regular lessons are given in reading the notes and in singing, and the B. M. Seniors of the College teach piano without extra charge to those who wish to take it. For violin instruction the expense is only ten cents a lesson and the pupils are taught in a class just as with any other subject.
The teaching Of music in the public schools is an important innovation.
