The Solitary Warrior (1929) contains a large number of letters by Ruskin, none of which has been previously published. They are of special importance and interest: many belong to the middle period of his life and show the influences which produced ‘Fors Clavigera’. They are full of vivid pictures and discuss intimately many fundamental problems.
