Ingrid's power has fully manifested. She and her friends can go anywhere in space or time. Which would be a fun way to spend the rest of her semester at Sparkstone University, if it wasn't for the imminent end of the world.

As a terrifying, elaborate starship battle in the near-future spells the end of the human race, Ingrid and her friends travel to an alternate universe to seek technological aid, discover the secrets of an alien plague newly modified to affect humans, and oh yeah, has anyone been keeping tabs on Professor Jadore? Someone should probably look into that.

Ingrid's not-so-secret desire to save Ethan's life - and change the fate of the human race - is at odds with the fundamental workings of her power. What has happened before will happen again. And she's already watched everyone she cares about die, over and over.

But what if you could change the future?

It's just, there are these strange, shadowy aliens chasing Ingrid. If she steps foot on Earth? They'll find and stop her meddling with space and time, permanently.
