In 2007, two friends went on a long hike through a rain forest in South America. They passed giant insects and poisonous snakes as they hacked at thick vines with a machete. Before reading their destination, however, the hikers became hopelessly lost. For weeks the two friends survived by eating frogs, turtles, and tarantulas. It wasn't enough, though.
